Each capsule contains:
Raw Adrenal Concentrate 80 mg.
Pantothenic Acid 50 mg.
Other ingredients: rice flour, magnesium stearate,
gelatin.
PHYSIOLOGY: This product contains the growth and repair factors for
the adrenals (RNA/DNA factors sometimes called
Protomorphogens). The adrenal glands are located
atop the kidneys and each consists of a central medulla
surrounded by an outer cortex. The medulla produces
adrenaline and noradrenaline, two catecholamine
hormones which play roles in blood pressure regulation,
vascular permeability and blood glucose level
maintenance. The cortex produces over thirty
corticosteroid hormones which are concerned with
sexual functions, sugar metabolism, water/mineral
balance and resistance to stress and pain (the
glucocorticoid hormones). These glands are regulated
by the pituitary and the hypothalamus.
INDICATIONS: Adreno Trophic contains growth and repair factors for
the adrenals and will support the hypo-functioning
glands.
Adreno Trophic™—Support for the
Adrenal Glands—Stress Management
Adrenal Glands Respond to Stress
Stress is a term widely used in our fast-paced society.
Job pressures, family arguments, financial
pressures and deadlines are common examples of
“stressors”. Actually, a stressor may be anything
which creates a disturbance, including exposure
to heat or cold, environmental toxins, toxins produced
by microorganisms, physical trauma and
strong emotional reactions.
Some basic control mechanisms are geared toward
counteracting everyday stresses. However, if
stress is extreme, unusual or long-lasting, these
control mechanisms, can be quite harmful. Conditions
linked to psychological stress include:
• Angina • Hypertension
• Asthma • Immune Suppression
• Autoimmune • Irritable Bowel
Diseases Syndrome
• Cancer • Menstrual Irregularities
• Cardiovascular • Premenstrual
Disease Tension Syndrome
• Common Cold • Rheumatoid Arthritis
• Diabetes, Type II • Ulcerative Colitis
• Depression • Ulcers
• Headaches
Stress triggers a number of biological changes
known collectively as the general adaptation syndrome.
The three phases of the general adaptation
syndrome are alarm, resistance and, finally, exhaustion.
These phases are controlled and regulated
by the adrenal glands.
Adrenal Glands Maintain Balance of Many Body
Functions
Adreno Trophic™ Helps Balance the Adrenal
Glands
The adrenal glands are responsible for maintaining
the balance of many bodily functions by secreting
several important hormones including
those which effect:
• The Sympathetic Nervous System
• Glucose Metabolism
• Mineral Balance
• Sexual Function
An abnormal adrenal response, either deficient or
excessive hormone secretion, significantly alters
an individual's response to stress. Often the adrenals
become “exhausted” as a result of the constant
demands placed upon them. An individual
with adrenal exhaustion may feel “stressed out”,
tired and be prone to allergies, while an individual
with excessive adrenal activity is likely to have
high blood pressure, anxiety, depression and elevated
blood sugar and cholesterol levels.
Low levels of adrenal hormones have been found
in patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and in
patients with depressive symptoms.
Adreno Trophic™ contains raw adrenal concentrate
along with pantothenic acid to nourish and
balance overactive or exhausted adrenal glands.
Pantothenic acid is particularly important for optimum
adrenal function. Pantothenic acid deficiency
results in adrenal atrophy, characterized by
fatigue, headache, sleep disturbances, nausea and
abdominal discomfort.
Use of Glandular Substances
Glandular concentrates from healthy glands have
been found beneficial for growth, repair and balance
of weak or malfunctioning glands because
they contain naturally occurring minerals, vitamins,
enzymes, nucleo-proteins (RNA/DNA) and
tissue-activating proteins which are specific to
that particular gland. Glandular therapy practitioners
believe that raw tissues from animal
sources contain intrinsic factors that are distinct
from vitamins, minerals, hormones or enzymes.
By feeding a patient these substances, many miraculous
responses are noted.
This natural product is prepared by a special process
which does not exceed physiological temperature
(37°C). Guaranteed to be free of chemical pesticides
and synthetic hormones.
Recommended Use: One capsule three times daily.
The DNA of each tissue contains specific amino
acids in specific percentages and arrangements.
When the blood contains amino acids in the
proper balance and quality for a specific gland or
tissue, it is easier for that particular gland to attain
the amino acids necessary for repair and rebuilding.
It is a matter of quality and quantity of available
nutrients for any particular tissue or gland. If
they are available in the blood qualitatively, the
responding tissue or gland can rebuild or repair itself
more readily according to the DNA pattern.
In 1958 and again in 1972, Dr. A. Kemet documented
through radioactive isotope tracing, that
factors from glandular tissues are taken up by the
bloodstream and absorbed by corresponding
glands in the recipient. This research was done
with injectable glandulars; however, most doctors
believe equal results can be obtained from
glandulars in tablet or capsule form. There is evidence
that some protein molecules are capable of
passing intact through the intestinal system remaining
in active form rather than being broken
into amino acids for reassembly.
Glandulars are not hormones. They activate the
gland to produce hormones. The entire point of
glandular therapy is to normalize the affected
gland or tissue, not to stimulate it.
Multiple Functions of the Adrenal Glands
The adrenal glands lie just above the kidneys and
are composed of two distinct parts: the medulla
and the cortex. The inner portion of the adrenal
gland, the medulla, is functionally related to the
sympathetic nervous system, and secretes the hormones
adrenalin (epinephrine) and noradrenaline
(norepinephrine). These hormones stimulate
body processes related to the fight or flight response.
They also maintain normal nervous control
over many involuntary bodily functions including
heart rate, respiration, digestion, etc.
The outer layer of the adrenal gland, the cortex,
secretes an entirely different group of hormones
called corticosteroids. These hormones are all
formed from cholesterol. Although all corticosteroids
have similar chemical formulas, they
differ in function. The three major types of
corticosteroids are mineral corticoids, glucocorticoids
and 17-ketosteroids (sex hormones).
The glucocorticoids, mainly cortisol, corticosterone
and cortisone, exert a profound effect
upon the metabolism of glucose. These hormones
can increase serum glucose levels and induce a
state very similar to diabetes. These hormones also
exert a catabolic effect on skin, muscle and fat.
Medically, cortisone and other glucocorticoids are
used to suppress the immune system in the treatment
of allergies and to reduce inflammation.
The mineral corticoids, of which aldosterone is the
most important, have profound effects on minerals.
Specifically, aldosterone increases the retention
of sodium and the excretion of potassium.
The 17-ketosteroids (sex hormones) are also secreted
by the adrenals. The primary hormone produced
by the adrenal is the androgen, dehydroepiandrosterone
(DHEA) which has received
attention as a possible anti-aging hormone.
Importance of Adrenal Support
Due to the importance of the adrenal gland, optimum
health is dependent on optimum adrenal
function. Atrophy or shrinking of the adrenal cortex
is a common side effect of continual stress, cortisone
administration and aging.
Adreno Trophic™ supplies raw glandular substance
important for repairing, rebuilding and balancing
adrenal function along with the essential
pantothenic acid.
In addition, vitamin C, vitamin B-6, zinc and magnesium
are necessary for production of adrenal
hormones. It is also critical to maintain potassium
levels within the body.
